Our story
The person who measures you is the person who makes your leg, and the one who picks up when it rubs. We opened in 2011 on that one rule, and we still keep it.
Ingrid Rasband spent nine years fitting legs for a big hospital system and watched patients wait six weeks for a socket made in another state. So she built the lab into the clinic. Every leg, arm and brace we fit is scanned, cast, laminated and finished one floor up from the fitting rooms.
That is why a test socket takes about eleven days here, and why most adjustments happen while you wait.

A free evaluation
Forty-five minutes. We look at your limb and your walk, hear your goals, and call your insurance while you are here.

Scan and cast
A 3D scan and a plaster cast, so the socket matches you to the millimeter. You get the number you will pay, in writing, first.

The test socket
About eleven days later you walk in a clear socket between the parallel bars while we watch where it presses.

Your leg, and every visit after
Walking practice in our hallway and free adjustments for a year. When your limb changes, we see you that week.

Will my insurance pay for it?
Most plans cover prosthetics and custom braces. We bill Medicare, Utah Medicaid and most insurance plans, do the paperwork ourselves, and give you your cost in writing before anything is made. Financing is available for the rest.
Do I need a prescription?
For insurance to pay, yes, from your doctor. If you do not have one yet, book the free evaluation anyway and we will tell you exactly what it needs to say.
How long until I am walking?
About eleven days from the scan to your first steps in a test socket, because the lab is upstairs. Most people take home their finished leg two to four weeks after that.
What if my socket rubs or my limb changes?
Call or text. A socket that hurts is not something to live with, and we will see you the same day or the next. Checks and adjustments are free for the first year.
Do you see kids?
Every age, from infant helmets to scoliosis braces for teens. Kids pick the pattern on their brace, and parents get a check-in plan before they leave.
Can I switch to you from another clinic?
Yes, and it is simple. Bring your old device and its paperwork, and we will start from what already works for you.
